Thus the city is a real railway hub of Central China. Altogether two major railway stations-Guilin Railway Station(South Station) and Guilin North Station are situated in the city. The former one stands in Zhongshan Road, with a long history that can be dated back to the year 1938, about 70 years away from now. It is regarded as the most important one whose transportation is quite convenient with city bus No.3, 4, 16 directly taking you there. The latter one is located in the northern suburbs of the city, thus a little bit far away from the city center.
