Lanzhou is the capital of Gansu Province. Also it the center of transportion, communication and the Silk Road Tourism Ring in northwest of China. It covers an area of 1631.6 square kilometers (629.96 square miles), with a population of 3.14 million.
Main attractions: Maiji Caves, Bingling Thousand Buddha Caves, Labrang Monastery, Sanke Prairie and the Dunhuang Mogao Caves.

Lanzhou is the only provincial city through which the Yellow River flows. So you may witness the grandeur of the Yellow River there.
