The local guide will pick you up at your hotel lobby at about 9 am. Tour begins after greetings. First head to Yuyuan Garden, the largest one of Shanghai's ancient gardens with Ming and Qing architectural styles decorated by beautiful pavilions, miniature lakes, bridges and rockeries. Later tour Jade Buddha Temple, built in 1928 to keep one jade Buddha statues, which is one of the two Jade Buddha statues brought from Burma by a monk named Huigen in 1882. Next set off to Shanghai Museum, the biggest museum of ancient Chinese art and cultural heritages, especially famous for its treasures of bronzes, ceramics, paintings, and calligraphy. People's Square,known as "city green lung" located in the downtown, is one landscape style square which melts administration, culture, transportation, commercial elements. Later you can have some leisure time along the Nanjing Road, considered to be the 'No. 1 commercial street in China', which has been a landmark for this city for a long time. Of course you could not miss The Bund, a famous waterfront and regarded as the symbol of Shanghai for hundreds of years. After covering all the sites hereinbefore, the guide will transfer you back to the hotel. |
