The Amergence Group announced that its subsidiary PanPacific International will be launching the “PanPacific Travel Network” which is an interactive, electronic concierge service for hotels and busy public areas across China.
According to PanPacific sources the information kiosks have been designed to provide consumers with up-to-date “gateway” of local attractions and discount information on goods and services available in that area.
According to the WTO China is set to become the largest tourist country and a desired tourist destination for overseas travel by 2020. This expected huge growth in Chinese tourism has resulted in a large growth rate in new hotel construction. This has increased the need to offer valuable, latest, location-specific information to hotel guests.
PanPacific International sources added that their solution will provide each hotel with an interactive, Internet-managed, full-color kiosk. This will deliver a fast, convenient, and cost effective way for guests to gain free-access to an information gateway. This will offer details regarding hundreds of commercial values available in the region.
Further the details will be offered in a broad range of languages and currency equivalents. These kiosks are placed in qualifying locations and the revenue derived from advertisers will be shared with the hotel, added official sources.
PanPacific president, Jack Martin said that the initial rollout will include 100 units in Shanghai which has about 350 qualified hotel-prospects. Each machine is expected to generate HK$16,600 or US$2,000 per month in advertiser revenue.
Earnings from the first 100 stand-alone, color, touch screen display kiosks when fully deployed and utilized in Shanghai, will create a monthly revenue of US$200,000 or HK$1,500,000. All location contracts will be offered on a standard 5 year term. After the service is fully implemented in Shanghai the company will expand its operations to Beijing, Hangzhou, Guangzhou, Shenzhen and Chengdu.
The Amergence Group leverages its world wide business knowledge to help organizations introduce bold, edgy, or disruptive businesses. It provides valuable advice and support to new businesses helping them achieve their business plans to introduce innovative technologies to the world market.
The Company s Tranzbyte division develops and markets its optical media enhancement technologies including FLASHAlbum, a technology which enables distributors of optic disc media like CDs and DVDs to combine the best features of both on one USB flash drive.
