Benxi Water Cave

Benxi Water Cave ,the world’s longest underground river navigable by a boat, located at the Taizi River. It is a part of the Benxi Water Cave National Park. The tour consists of a forty minute long boat ride through the caves, which are lit up with colored lights and have signs with the names of the various rock formations. 

The cave river is really enormous. With an average production of 230 liter per second. The river is up to 7 meters deep and the passage is up to 38 meters high and 50 meters wide. In the huge entrance hall, a chamber which is 50 meters long and 20 meters wide, and some 3000-year-old human remains were found there. The cave has an underground river with water so clear that the riverbed is always visible. The visitors take a ride on the sightseeing boat to explore the magic and mystery of the stalactite formations that have formed over millions of years.

Benxi Water Cave National Park is a unique wonderland of pastoral beauty that has captured the imagines and hearts of its visitors throughout the ages.

The water cave park area also has some other scenic spots including a geological museum, a crocodile show, river rafting (not particularly exciting), and some hiking trails up a small mountain. For 187 yuan you can buy an all-inclusive ticket that also includes rides on electric cars that will take you from one attraction to the next. If you only wish to go to the caves, the entry is 167 yuan.
