The Stillwell Museum, located at No.130 of Jian She Xin Cun in Chongqing, was originally used by the National Government as a guest house for entertaining distinguished figures. General Joseph W. Stilwell lived here when he arrived in Chongqing on March 4, 1942. This is where he held military conferences and press meetings.
The house was reconstructed in 1949 and was owned by the government. In 1991, it was turned into the Stillwell museum by the Chongqing People's Municipal government. Here, you will see a display of US-supplied artifacts. |
